Traveler’s Notebook – Beach Trip Memories

Laura Cox Circle PH 2018

Hi everyone!  Laura here with you all today!  As a scrapbooker, I love making albums full of memories.  Lately, I’ve found a great new way to take notes and remember the trips we go on…..a traveler’s notebook.  Paper House has some gorgeous ones!

We love our yearly trip to North Carolina and the beautiful beaches there.  The Paper House Tropical Journey Book is a perfect fit for this years road trip!

Road Trip 2018 PHP TN by Laura C

The Sun Drenched 12×12 Paper Pad and Sun Drenched Cardstock Stickers pair up to make great accents for the notebook.

Paper House washi tape is always fun to use in a travel journal or planner.  It’s easy to layer on cardstock and die cut to make great accents, or to use as borders.

Tropical TN close up #2

It’s also great to mix and match with the Sun Drenched Cardstock Stickers which include an alpha in addition to the beach themed stickers.

Road Trip 2018 PHP TN page 2

The Sun Drenched papers and stickers are great for creating little scenes on your page and all compliment each other perfectly.  And those cute little starfish and seahorses on this page are part of the Micro Stickers collection from Paper House Life Organized. They are a good way to highlight bullet points you’d like to make sure to remember.

Road Trip 2018 PHP TN page 3

The different sizes of washi tape in each of the Paper House washi sets make great page dividers, or you can layer them together to make wider borders.

Tropical TN close up #3

And to wrap it all up, the embossed outer cover is so detailed, has a band to secure everything, and you can add a cute little charm to add a little extra something.

Tropical TN 2018 close up #1

This charm, is a simple paper clip, with 2 paper circles glued together over it, and a Neon Tropical Faux Enamels sticker.  A great little finish to this road trip journey notebook!

Thanks for stopping by today!  Stop by soon for more inspiration!

Caitlyn Storm CircleWhen I learned that the theme of this project would be sparkle, you bet I started to sparkle myself! I love anything to do with foil, glitter, and anything that sparkles! Paper House Productions has a ton of products with foil in it and with the help of Scrapbook Adhesives I was able to create the perfect sparkley project!

I decided to create a mixed media quote board!

mixed media quote board

I created this using the Color Washed Paper Pack and the black and gold foiled Carole Shiber washi !

mixed media quote board

The 3D Foam Creative Embellishment Kit made it so easy to create the beautiful wings and make sure they stayed upright! The foam is double sided so you’re able to apply the foam to one side and then stick things down and onto your project. This can be seen by the small circles I used to frame the quote – so easy! I used Scrapbook Adhesive’s EZ Dots Tape Runner to help glue the rest of the project together.

Scrapbook Layout Background Technique with Washi Tape

Laura Cox Circle PH 2018

Hi everyone!  Laura here today!  I’ve got a fun little quick scrapbook page idea to share with you today, using Paper House washi tape to make your own background paper!

Washi and Ink Happiness PH2018

The cool background on this paper was just a plain color-washed orange….one of the papers from the Paper House Sun Drenched 12×12 paper pad.  Very pretty but I wanted to mimic the line of the horizon on the picture a little bit and add a little more interest to the background, so I used a roll of Paper House washi tape. So much comes on one roll, that you can use it for fun techniques like this and still have plenty for many, many projects!  So using the washi, I lined the paper in different widths with like you see here:

Washi Ink background close up #1

And after I did that…..I used a good blending ink and a sponge applicator, and applied it to the surface.  The washi tape, resists the ink of course…..so the result when the washi is removed is this awesome effect:

Washi and Ink close up #2

How fun is that?!!  So simple, but a lot of impact!  Washi tape has so many options!

Printers Tray

Laura Cox Circle PH 2018

Hi everyone!  Laura here with you today and  I’m sharing a fun printers tray project using some great products from both Paper House AND Xyron….what a perfect combo!

This project starts with a whole bunch of Paper House and Xyron goodness…..

Xyron close up #1

They all come together to create this piece of home decor that captures our family trip to Arizona!

Call of the Wild XyronPH 2018

Paper House has great Travel 2D stickers for the states and the Succulent Faux Enamel Stickers work well with the desert vibe on this project.  Think outside the box when you are using stickers….in this set, many of the plants are in cute little clay pots.  Some were left that way, but some,  I trimmed off the cactus to use on its own and layered it into torn pieces from the Color Washed 12×12 Paper Pad.  The Sticky Pix Clear Cuts are also a great way to add interest to a project, and being clear, they can go right on your photos as well.

Something that brings this project all together is the beautiful washi tape.   Love that the Paper House washi comes with a wide and narrow width tape in the same package!  You can layer it up on plain white or black cardstock to create backgrounds, borders, and also die-cut to create a project title.

Xyron close up #3

The Xyron Sticker Maker makes it easy to add adhesive to the letters, and if you need a little clean up of the extra adhesive, the Xyron Adhesive Eraser has got it covered….nothing like the perfect tools to bring a project together!

Xyron close up #2

All the individual squares and layers on this project are held together beautifully by the Xyron Tape Runner.   It has a strong adhesive that holds all the layers in place.

Plan With Me Using Washi Tape

Daisie Hansen CircleHello everyone!  I’m here today with something a little different for me, a planner spread.  I have been a huge planner person for a few years now but I rarely share my spreads.  I was so excited to get the Stargazer planner to play with!  It is undated 18 month calendar with the gorgeous celestial design.  It also comes with pockets and stickers for all your planning needs.  There’s a whole line that coordinates with the beautiful design to make it easy to decorate as you plan.

I have been in this planner for a couple of months now and decided that for April I want to change up the design a little.  For me I have a tendency to get bored with planning and by changing up the design it keeps it fresh and interesting.  So I chose some of the beautiful washi tape to use in altering the design.

For the first week in April, I was inspired by this amazing Pansies Washi Tape.  It really spoke to me because my mind was on spring.  I chose to use some watercolor to enhance the washi design.  I then used my Xyron sticker maker to stick the cut aparts from the Color Washed collection.  Last I added some of the Butterflies Faux Enamel Stickers to really make this feel like spring!

IMG_3910

The second week of April was my birthday week!  I love pulling out the Cupcake Washi Tape Set for this spread.  It made it feel so festive.  I used 2 layers of the washi to completely cover the design that was already on the page. I used the watercolor to create the rainbow balloons.  I love how it came out!  The Kawaii Planner Stickers were the perfect addition to this week!  IMG_3909

I did find that as the week went on that the second layer of washi tape started to peel up a little.  I assume this is due to the finish on the washi.  I ran the top layer of the tape through my Xyron sticker maker to adhere it back to the washi.  That solved that problem!

Products Used: Stargazer Planner, Pansies Washi Tape Set, Lavender and Green Polka Dot Washi Tape Set,  Cupcakes Washi Tape Set, Butterflies Faux Enamel Sticker, Kawaii Planner Stickers

Wonder Woman Planner 2018 by Laura C

The quality, colors and designs of the Paper House Life Organized stickers take your planning to a whole other level.  They are so cool with all the foil accents!

Wonder Woman close up #1

Here I’ve used a mix of the Karmabee washi, the Wonder Woman (TM) Life Organized stickers, and Sticky Pics Faux Enamels, and general stickers.  To make it your own….add some of your own doodles or drawings.

You can create a lot of interest by layering up the stickers like this pic in he bottom right corner….

Wonder Woman close up #2

All these different sticker types are made to go together so well they all look like they are from the same set!

Wonder Woman close up #3

You can make accessories for your planner using these Paper House Life Organized goodies too.   Using a basic gold paper clip from any office supply store, just make a couple of washi “flags” and then use the Faux Enamel stickers to add a fun element. And the best…..these stickers come with reverse images!  So you use the two reverse images together back to back…..no stickiness to worry about, the images line up perfectly to create the awesome clip to keep you even more organized!

Thanks for stopping by today!  Hope you are inspired to get yourself organized, using these great products from Paper House!  You can find all the Life Organized products and more in the store HERE.
