Bible Journaling with Faux Enamel Stickers

Hi it’s Lisa here today to share with you one of my favorite things to use in my journaling bible…faux enamel stickers! These stickers have such shine and glam up any project! They also add dimension to your projects, but without all the bulk! This is great not only for bible journaling but for many other types of creative projects! When I was studying this verse I immediately thought of the beautiful Succulent faux enamel stickers.

Supplies Used: Succulent Faux Enamel stickers; Summer Fun washi tape; Panda 3D stickers (heart); butterflies faux enamel stickers

I tend to like to journal only in the margins provided for me so I don’t like to use any stickers that are to large. The adorable glitter heart is from the 3D panda sticker set & is the perfect size to act as a lovely accent for my cactus. I love using the thin washi tape to break up my white space and separate my handwritten notes from the title I created using letter stickers. Here is a close up of the lovely gold foiled washi tape that is from the Summer fun washi tape collection, I use this washi tape a lot!

In this picture you can also see the lovely gold faux enamel butterfly sticker. I love how most of the sticker sets have stickers of varying sizes so you are able to have extra tiny ones to add in those little white spaces that just need a bit of sparkle or shine!! The micro stickers are also perfect for these tiny accents but this faux enamel butterfly sticker kept with the faux enamel look that the succulent stickers gave my page.

I would love to have you follow me on Instagram – I’m lisantexas there! I share a lot of different paper projects using the amazing Paper House stickers and other products there! You can also use my code PH19LISA to get 20% off your next sticker order!! Happy creating!

Hearts and Feathers Project Pad Cards

CarolynCircle2It’s Carolyn back today to show you 6 different cards using the hearts and feathers project pads. The project pads have heart and feather shapes that are easy to punch out. They are so easy to use and match so well with the Color Washed Paper Pad and the Bohemian Friends Clear Stickers. Making these cards was a piece of cake!

Supplies for Project Pad Cards: Hearts Project Pad, Feathers Project Pad, Bohemian Friends Clear Stickers, Color Washed 12″ Paper Pad, Teacher Puffy Sticker.

I covered this card with gesso so the paint would not ruin the cardstock. I then dripped watercolors down the cardstock. The sentiment is from the Bohemian Friends sticker sheet.

heartfriendcardpaperhouseproductions1

For this card, I layered some punched hearts. I used a black Tombow marker to outline the hearts and add some fake stitching. The sentiment is stamped with black ink with a stamp from My Sentiments Exactly.

This anniversary card is all hearts! I love how hearts can make flowers. I used alpha stickers from the Color Washed Paper Pad.

For my final heart card, I used the Color Washed Paper Pad for the background and border stickers. The sentiment is from the Bohemian Friends sticker sheet and the twine is from my stash.

I combined the Feather Project Pad with the Teacher Puffy Stickers. How awesome are these patterns and colors?!

My last card is a combination of feathers and Bohemian Friends stickers. I love the layers that the feathers can make.

That’s all for today. I hope you’ve been inspired to use some hearts and feathers on your projects!

Family Flip Album using Planner Stickers

renee-timmermanRenee here with a post today on the new Flip Albums! I think they are so awesome, they are little albums that you can flip through with different pictures on either pull out pages or folded pages.  I’m going to show you how I utilized the Family flip album!

I think what’s perfect about this album is that it’s already constructed for you; you just need to add the photos then embellish how you see fit! It comes with a sheet of stickers that coordinate with the album and I thought there was plenty of them to use! Also it comes with corner stickers to place on your photos to make them look like they’re slid in to place.

2FAlbum

This album I am making as a present to my sister’s family. ( She’ll probably see it here, hope you like it! Haha! ) I thought it would also work great with this set of 4 photos I found of their family.  I manipulated the photos to be 4in. x 4in. sized which fits perfectly on the squares in the flip album with a little space around the edge of them!

Besides the stickers that are included in the box with the album, I used a few of the stickers from the Life’s Organized Planner sticker pack that coordinated with it! I got some small alphas I had in my stash to use on the photos as well to add more sentiments.

The products I used in this project

I hope you enjoy this project, I think these albums are just perfect for a small remembrance of an event or a present to someone! I can’t wait to see how others use their albums!! If you want to learn more about this project or see more of my work, check out my personal blog.  Have a wonderful day!!

Wedding Day Flipbook

samantha-taylor-hs-medium-size Hello! Samantha with you today to share a Wedding Day Flipbook. I love creating mini albums, and Paper House’s Flipbooks are right up my alley. They are interactive, have lots of space for chunky, 3D embellishments, and you can fit a ton of photos in them! I used the Wedding Day Flipbook to scrap photos that our friends and family took at our wedding.  These photos are really special to me, as a lot of these photos were taken on actual film. I got married long enough ago that there were no cell phone cameras and only some people had digital cameras.

While the pages in the album are already made from patterned paper, I knew I would want to add my own pops of color and bits of patterned paper to frame photos. The colors and patterns in One Big Happy Family coordinated really well with the colors and patterns that were already a part of the Wedding Day Flipbook.

wedding-day-flipbook-004

One Big Happy Family has the bonus of having themes of love and family running throughout it, which makes it perfect for embellishing wedding photos!

wedding-day-flipbook-003

I couldn’t scrap all of these photos without some 3D stickers for dimension, too. Using both the Groom 3D stickers, and Reception 3D stickers were an easy choice. They’re wedding themed and pretty neutral in color, so they blended seamlessly with both the Flipbook and One Big Happy Family.

The pockets and flipable pages not only add lots of space for photos, journaling, and memorabilia, but they make these albums super fun to look through, too!

To give you a really good feel for the interactive element of this album, I made a video. Check it out below to see all the details of this Wedding Day Flipbook.

Happy Holidays Scrapbook Layout

On a unseasonably warm day in early November, when my daughter was home visiting,I made the family sit down for our first ever Christmas Card Photo Shoot.  I had all the props and seating planned out.  It was going to be fun.  With some being less than enthusiastic, this is what I had to deal with…because of the warmth, my husband would not change into long pants, my oldest forgot that we were going to be doing this, so he too had on shorts. Once captured, my youngest grandson would not be in the picture without the Target Toy Ad and my youngest son insisted on wearing his bandana.  Maybe next year, I’ll go back to making homemade cards. (sounds easier). Here’s how I documented this moment!

Merry Christmas from my family to yours.

Merry Christmas

Here’s a page featuring the new Snowflake 3D Shimmer, it lights up at the touch of a button!  I have also used some gorgeous Christmas papers, and various stickers. The sweater stickers, red glittered paper, and adorable gingerbread men really made me smile, and made me think of all the wonderful Christmastimes I’ve had with family.  The photo is of my son sledding on Long Island, New York, during a visit there. There’s not a lot of snow where I live now in Houston, so this was a pretty exciting day for everyone!

Supplies Used:

To make this layout I put a piece of foam core board underneath the photo with to give it some dimension. This also leaves space to tuck flowers and things into. I put the 3D Shimmer snowflake on, then the acetate snowflakes, Gingerbread, and Ugly Sweater Stickers.

To create more texture I applied gesso, gold lace, antique glass glitter, microbeads, a reindeer die cut, flowers, leaves, a chain, and charms. I rubbed on pearl mica powder on top of the gesso, and gold mica powder on the edges of almost everything.

img_6317-christmas-lower-right

I painted some areas with cobalt blue water color, and used aqua and bark colored watercolor pencil in others. I used a frost spray on a piece of memory glass, you can see it to the right of the photo.

Peacock Feather

Happy Labor Day Paper House Fans!  Melissa joining you today with an art journal page for you, using a stunning photo from the Emerald Colorways Collection. Check out the shimmering, iridescent colors of the peacock feather! It inspired me to frame it with blues, greens, and lots of shine.

Supplies Used:

To make this page I used a 9 x 12 watercolor paper art journal.  I started by applying texture paste through a stencil. I splattered on layers of teal, purple, and gold with a brush, drying after each layer. I repeated this two more times, then misted with water.  I sponged on gesso randomly because the page seemed too busy. I applied a lot of things to create more texture: micro-beads, seed beads, glass glitter, glitter glue, rhinestones, pearls, thread, mica flakes, and sequins.

I dry brushed gesso over the top of most of the elements, and then painted with a teal color. I outlined the photo with watercolor pencil.

Autumn Page

Here’s an autumn page for you that I made using papers and stickers from  the beautiful, adorable new line, Autumn Woods. I think this photo of my son fit the theme well, it was taken at a local state park, named Armand Bayou.

To make this page I created dimension by attaching foam core board underneath both the photo, and the mat paper underneath it. I used a stencil and texture paste and put the branch on, painted it with water and gold mica powder, and applied brown watercolor over it.  I used tan acrylic paint on different areas of the page. I love the fox and raccoon, they add so much visual interest.

I distressed all the edges of the paper, and painted them with gold mica powder and water, then brown watercolor. I also ripped the page and added another layer underneath it.

I used a few pressed wildflowers from an adjacent park, to create texture.

Last up I die cut some leaves, and painted them with watercolors. Thanks for looking, and have a great week!
