Camping Nights in Pockets

Hi crafty friends! Natalie here with you on this last day of September sharing my favorite way to include numerous photos on a scrapbook page. I love to use pocket pages. They can house so many pictures without any hassle of figuring out how the layout will look.

I used the Camping Tags Double Sided paper as some of my pocket cards. I backed my smaller photos with papers from the travel paper collections.

Those adorable Great Outdoors Epoxy Stickers are the perfect tiny embellishment for a 3×4 pocket.

Using this Discover USA paper dictated the colors in my layout . I printed these 2×3 tiny photos 4 to a 4×6 photo collage & they work great for pocket pages.

My rules for pocket pages are typically to keep from putting two full 3×4 photos right next to one another, as well as break up the pattern paper with some solids.

I usually fit all of my journaling onto a specific journaling card, but sometimes I will add extra snippets with small photos on a tiny die cut tag.

Repeating this fun patterned Passport Stamps double sided page in another 3×4 pocket, along with the stripes of the same colors in the 4×6 pocket, helps tie in the rows.

I love how well these Great Outdoors Puffy Stickers are the best size for a 3×4 pocket!

I hope you’ve been inspired to create a pocket page – they’re such a great, easy, quick way to document some of your memories. I love to combine them with a 12×12 traditional layout!

You can find your own pocket page embellishments and cut apart sheets on the Paper House Productions website and use my code PH19NATALIE for 20% off your order!

Falling into Halloween Scrapbooking

Natalie here today to share a Halloween scrapbook page with you! I know it’s not October, but it’s officially fall, so I was ready for some Halloween scrapbooking!

I grabbed this awesomely festive pumpkin paper from PHP called Wicked good & used it to back the word RAWR! My boys were a tiger and a dino – so roaring was in order all night.

How cute are these Halloween puffy stickers?!

I could use them on 100 projects!

This double sided paper is very thick & holds up well on your paper projects. And this ghost is the cutest!

I used the small puffy stickers to hold in my journaling on this portion of the layout – a fun way to frame text!

A subtitle of puffy stickers is always a good idea.

You can find more fun Halloween goodies in the Paper House Productions store & get 20% off your order using the code PH19NATALIE. Grab some now for an entire month of holiday crafting!

Memory Keeping in a Planner!

Natalie here with you today! I’m using my new Mommy Lhey planner to memory keep with photos!

Here’s the month of July at a glance with small photos covering some days, combined with patterned paper and stickers.

I used the Summer planner sticker kit to add some festive goodness to my Independence day/week spread! I printed my photos 6×1.75ish to fit in the daily blanks.

For the days without photos, I journal or use patterned paper and stickers. This is a great way to use up those 6×6 paper pads, they’re the perfect size to slice into the daily columns.

I have started ensuring that I take photos that will easily be cropped into this size! It’s a fun, visual reminder of our everyday life that otherwise wouldn’t make it into the scrapbook.

The Mommy Lhey planner has some fabulous stickers in the back, to include months for easy tabbing.

I kept some of the spreads simple, but adding a few of the Lhey labels and stickers help add interest.

I busted into the Tropical June Sticker kit for this spread – I love some of the clear stickers!

Using stamps in the same color scheme is a good way to add subtle uniqueness to your spreads.

Lastly, I’ll leave you with my August monthly spread! I love how colorful it turned out. These planners lend so well to almost any color scheme you’d like!

Using die cuts is another way to create some unique spreads in your memory planner. I hope I’ve inspired you to use your planner in a different way today!

Make sure to use my code PH19NATALIE for 20% of your order at https://paperhouseproductions.com/ & thank you for looking today!

Enjoy the Ride Card

Maria Russell CircleHello everyone, Maria here on the blog today.  I cannot believe that time flew by so fast and I am sad to say that this is my last blog post for Paper House Productions.  I have been so FORTUNATE to be able to work with the AMAZING products by PHP, the talented design team and of course, everyone at Paper House Productions.  It has been a great journey to be a part of this design team which is why I chose “Enjoy the Ride” theme for my project today.

For our final project, we were asked to pick out our FAVORITE product from the Paper House Productions.  Mind you, this wasn’t an easy task!   I LOVE the paper pads, the stickers, washi tape, traveler’s notebook, etc.   However if there’s one thing that I’ve been loving (and buying) the most even before I got on this design team, it’s always been the stickers!   Sometimes when I want to create a beautiful card without stamping or doing a lot of fancy stuff, I always make cards with stickers.  I also love adding stickers to my scrapbook layouts and planners.

To start, I stamped an A2 size card stock with my background stamp with a mint green ink and die-cut the same with my Stitched Wonky Die.  I also die-cut another piece of white card stock to create the frame.

I have been dying to use this Stickypix “It Takes Two Cardstock Multi-Pack” stickers because I absolutely love everything in this pack.  It has all of my favorite color combination – Mint Green, Light Blue, Red, Pink and Gold.  I picked the bicycle, stars and flowers on this pack.

This card took about less than 10 minutes to make and can be easily mass-produced.   Here’s my card:

I just love the gold-foil details on the bicycle and the flowers.

I also simply adore the little stars in the sticker pack.  I added a couple of them on my card.

It has been a great pleasure working with The Paper House Productions and the talented Design Team for Winter/Spring Term.  Thank you everyone for this amazing journey.  It really has been a great ride!

Gone Fishin’ Scrapbook Layout

Maria Russell Circle

I hope everyone’s having a great week.  Maria here on the blog with you today!  I am sharing a scrapbook layout, showcasing the Great Outdoors Fishing Paper Crafting Kit with I’d Rather be Fishing 3D stickers.  I have always wanted to use this Kit but never had a chance until now.

Here’s what I got to play with.  This Great Outdoors Fishing Paper Crafting Kit is a must-have!  It also comes with a 12×12 sticker sheet!

IMG_8415

I chose the paper that I wanted to use for my layout and started planning where I wanted my photos to go.  I always do this step first every time I work on a scrapbook layout before I start adhering them onto the paper.  This gives me time to adjust them and plan on what embellishments I needed to finish my designs.

IMG_8416

I matted my photos with black card stock and adhered them to my layout.

IMG_8418

I started adding the embellishments to my layout and added the alphabet stickers that are included in the Great Outdoors Fishing Paper Crafting Kit.

IMG_8419

I think a scrapbook layout should always tell a story.  Without it, it’s just a photo album!  I always like to write the story with my own handwriting as it gives it a more personal touch.  Hopefully my children will be taking care of these books when I’m gone, and they will be able to pass it on to my future grandchildren.

Did I mention I love the stickers from the I’d Rather Be Fishing 3D Stickers?   That little fish looks so realistic!

PHPGoneFishin1C

I absolutely LOVE the alphabet stickers that are included in the kit.  The title made a bold statement on my layout.

Pinterest-Inspired Cards Using Washi Tapes

Maria Russell CircleIt’s Maria back on the blog today!  I have been looking for some inspiration on Pinterest and decided to make some super easy and quick cards with some beautiful Washi tapes from the Paper House Productions!  Have you all checked them out yet at the shop? Holy, moly those Washis are so beautiful!   I feel like they need to be showcased more than just adding it to decorate your planners and notebooks.

I am so fortunate to be a design team member of Paper House Productions because not only to they make beautiful paper pads and stickers, these Washi Tapes are to die for! Look at how beautiful those prints really are, and with foiling!  Love, love, love them all! Here’s what I got to play with:

IMG_7889

For my first card, I started out by cutting my smooth white card stock to 5 1/2 X 4 1/4.  I layered the StickyPix Stargazer Washi Tape with the Wine Washi Tape set and die cut the card stock with the Wonky Stitched Rectangle Frames Die.   I also used my Bow punch to punch out the pieces to create my bow with a gold-foiled card stock to match the washi.

IMG_7890

I adhered my front panel onto the card base with my Xyron Tape Runner first, then adhered the gold bow on the foreground using a bit of hot glue.  I finished my card design by stamping the sentiment onto the card.

Here’s my first card:

The stargazer washi tape set is one of my favorites.  I just love the gold foil details and the color is just simply beautiful!  Here’s a little close-up of the card:

PHPWashiCard2A

I wanted to create a birthday card for my second project with the same design.  This time, I used the Wine Washi Tape Set which is going to go perfectly with the sentiment.  A friend of mine is turning 60 and she’s a bit bummed about it.  This card will hopefully cheer her up!

PHPWashiCard1

Isn’t this hilarious?  I just LOVE this Wine washi Tape Set and I think adhering it on a white card stock made the images pop!

I hope you all got inspired today to create some super simple and quick cards using some beautiful Washi Tapes.  The supplies I used are listed and linked.  Have a wonderful day!
