Great Outdoors Layout

Hello! Samantha here today with a Great Outdoors layout created with one of my all time favorite Paper House collections. We’ve had an abnormally warm September and October this year, and we’re taking every opportunity to enjoy time outside.

Supplies:Great Outdoors Hunting Paper Crafting Kit, Great Outdoors Camping Tags, Great Outdoors 3D Sticker, Great Outdoors Rice Paper Borders, Great Outdoors Puffy Stickers, Great Outdoors Epoxy Stickers, Great Outdoors Epoxy Clips

Aptly named “Great Outdoors,” this collection is one of my absolute favorite for scrapping any outdoor photos. While it’s often habit to reach for the gorgeous Autumn Woods collection, Great Outdoors is another fabulous option for scrapping any outdoor activities any time of the year.

You can get the Great Outdoors as part of a themed kit (Hunting, Fishing, or Camping), or you can get individual sheets of patterned paper. The kits come with a set of card stock stickers and a set of 3D stickers, as well. The card stock sticker sheet can only be found in the kits, while papers and 3D stickers can be purchased separately.

I started my layout by layering the patterned papers I wanted to use. Then I added the flat card stock stickers from the sheet included in the Great Outdoors kits. There are coordinating alphas on the sheet that are perfect for creating a title. After I had every flat embellishment on my layout, I added texture with rice paper borders, and epoxy and puffy stickers. As a finishing touch, I added the epoxy clip to my photo.

Whether its spring, summer, or fall outside photos look wonderful scrapped with the Great Outdoors collection.

Puppy Layout

Hello! Samantha here with you. We got a new puppy this summer, and he’s just so darn cute that I can’t help but take his picture…and now I’ve got to scrap those photos. Whether your K9 friend is a new puppy or just a puppy at heart, I hope my puppy layout makes you want to scrap your dog too!

New Puppy Layout-002 Small

Since Paper House doesn’t have a specific pet collection, I started with some fun dog themed stickers. I wanted a mix of textures and sizes, so I chose the You Had Me at Woof 3D Stickers and the Life Organized Dog Micro Stickers. I print my photos at home, so I printed 3 1/2″ x 5″ photos on 4″ x 6″ photo paper. I trimmed the photos down to give them a bit of a “Polaroid” look. Then, I used the Dog Micro Stickers to create a fun detail under the photos on the white border.

New Puppy Layout-003 small

After I had my puppy stickers picked out, I raided my stash of Paper House collections for paper that matched. I decided that paper from the Great Outdoors collection coordinated with the stickers. I wanted a few more embellishments, so I reached for my Washi. Of course, I used the camo Washi from the Great Outdoors Washi Tape Set, but I also found that the orange and white Washi from Halloween Washi Tape Set was a great match, too! I also love that both Washi tapes have a metallic detail to them.

This puppy layout is the first of many, many dog layouts in my future. I can’t wait to see how else I can use Paper House to capture these memories.

Great Outdoors Scrapbook Layout

We’re kicking off a week long feature of The Great Outdoors Collection.  Today we are joined by Nicole with an 8 1/2 X 11 Layout!

Here’s Nicole

A few weeks ago, I snapped these photos of Edward canoeing in the Severn. His friends were nice enough to let him borrow their canoe and Edward had a blast. He watched them do it and then he was off, exploring on his own and he learned how to stop and turn all by himself. He’s one smart cookie.

For this layout, I used Paper House’s The Great Outdoors collection. The papers, stickers and dimensional stickers went perfectly with the photos! I love when that happens!

I added the “Great Outdoors” dimensional sticker at the top of the photo to help frame the photo. Then I used a few foam squares on the canoe sticker and mounted it onto the sticker. And just for fun, I tucked the tent sticker, slightly behind the title.

I used the frame sticker to frame the photo then added the word banner using foam squares. I used the tree as well to make the frame pop. For the bottom, I tore a piece of brown polka dot paper and tucked it beneath the photos then a used a piece of graph paper to journal my story and tucked it below the other photo.

I cut the banner journaling block in half then tucked it behind the photo on both sides for a fun design.

Birthday Scrapbook Layout Featuring Faux Enamel Stickers

Daisie Hansen Circle

Hello everyone!  Daisie here with a layout I created featuring the Birthday Faux Enamel Stickers.  These were the perfect stickers to use for a layout about my son’s 15th birthday.  The colors and shine to these stickers are incredible!

I started out with a white cardstock background.  I then chose 2 patterned papers from The Great Outdoors Collection.  The woodgrain matched the color of the brick from the picture perfectly, while the chevron paper brought some pops of color.  I chose to tear the edges for some added texture.

IMG_3434

I used a free cut file I found online and created a couple of embellishments and title to compliment the faux enamel stickers.  I cut the files in both white cardstock and the chevron pattern paper to create this offset effect.  Then it was time for the stickers!  I love how the colors go great with the chevron paper.  They are flat stickers with gold foiling.  They have an enamel type finish to them that make them look like they are enamel shapes.  Perfect for adding a special element to your page without adding bulk.

IMG_3435

I chose to use the present stickers down in the right bottom corner for an added embellishment cluster.  They look great together!  I finished the page off with a scribbly outline and called it done!
