Laura is crafting up a Gift Card Holder……..

Laura Cox Circle PH 2018

Hi everyone!  Laura here with you today sharing a glittery sparkly gift idea using Paper House goodies and 3L Adhesives!

This project started with some amazing Paper House and 3L products:

3L Hop close up #1.jpg

All of these great items came together to create this fun gift bag!  I’ve added a lot of sparkle using the 3L Adhesives, and the Paper House Colorwashed Paper Pad and Faux Enamels stickers add their own bright colors and foiled bling!

3L and PHP hop by Laura C 2018 (2)

To create the sparkly stripes, the 3L Adhesive Crafty Power Tape was put on the cardstock:

3L close up #3

Then you remove the backing and apply glitter.  I did this twice to make two colors of stripes.  The adhesive is strong and holds the glitter in place.

3L close up #2

I also used the 3L Photo Corners to hold in place my gift card and this entire card fits nicely into one of the 3L Keepsake Envelopes!  They are clear little envelopes that are a perfect size to hold memorabilia for scrapbooking, but also great to hold and protect a gift card as an extra little surprise on this gift bag!

The cute little tag at the top has a sweet little flower created with the 3L Adhesives 3D Foam Shapes.

3L close up #4

You just peel off the backing, sprinkle with glitter, and stick it to your project…..what could be easier?!

Supplies Used: Paper House-Colorwashed 12×12 Paper Pad, Faux Enamels.  Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L: 3D Foam Garden Shapes, Keepsake Envelopes, Creative Photo Corners, EZ Runner Strips, 3D Foam Circles, Crafty Power Tape.

Let’s Dig into Gold Foil with Heather…

Heather Little Circle (1)

Hello friends! Heather here with a super fun way to add some sparkle to your scrapbooking layouts! First you can just buy paper with glitter or foil already on it. Or you can add it yourself!

We are teaming up with scrapbook Adhesives by 3L this week and I was super excited to play with their 3D Foam Creative Embellishment Kit. So for my layout I knew I wanted to use the gold foil sheet and the Marbelous paper pad.

Get ready to sparkle and soak up summer with Daisie!

****************************************************************

image

Hello everyone!  Daisie here with a fun summer layout.  I love the Sun Drenched collection and all of the colors.  The foiled papers in the paper pack are so shiny.  They add just the right special touch to any summer layout.

I started by pulling some of my favorite paper out of the pack.  I decided to use my electronic cutting machine to cut out many of these hibiscus type flowers.  They go perfectly with the sticker elements for this collection!  I then went through my stickers and chose a few that I thought would really go great with this theme.

I chose to use the 3D Foam Garden Shapes from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.  I wanted to add a few more sparkles to my layout so I thought adding glitter to these awesome foam shapes would be a great way to do that.

IMG_4327

In this close up you can see the glittered foam shapes.  I used some gold and purple glitter on the flowers and leaves from the foam sheet.  They are just the right addition!

IMG_4334

In the whole layout you can see that I used this beautiful foiled wave paper as my background.  It was the perfect match to my photo.  I layered the paper flowers using some 3D Foam circles from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.  This gave the flowers some added dimension.  I added some of the Faux Enamel Stickers, the puffy stickers, and a 3D sticker to add all of the little details to the page.  The finished result makes me want to head back to the beach!

Kristina is helping us look at Perspectives…..

Journey Notebook Insert: Book of the MonthToday, I am going to be tackling the SHINE part of that equation using some gorgeous products from Paper House Productions as well as some fun adhesive options from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L. Make sure to stop by the video for a few tips on using gilding flakes on your projects too!

One of my favorite recent collections from Paper House Productions is the Marbelous collection. The papers and shiny gold detailing of this set of papers and stickers just creates such a unique and amazing look! I just know that you are going to love it too!

IMG_8775

I started out knowing that I wanted to use a bunch of strips of paper from the Marbelous 12×12 Paper Pad and that I wanted them to be backed with black cardstock to make them appear more dimensional and to help the colors pop off the page. Then, I went back and added some rice paper washi (the flowers) to a few different spaces on the layout. Then, I also added the black with gold polka dot washi tape, also from Paper House Productions.

I added some enamel sticker butterflies to the different layers and paper strips and wanted to make sure that they followed a diagonal pattern across the layout. I also added a few sticker phrases from the Marbelous sticker booklet.

One of the coolest features that I created was using the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Crafty Power Tape. This super sticky tape allowed me to apply some gilding flakes and create a really quick and simple unique look. It even gives a little hint of mixed media without being super messy and time consuming. I just love that little extra detail to the areas around my photos.

Last, but not least, I created a unique title element using elements from my stash. I really hope that you love seeing how we are using  Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L this week to create unique glitter-sparkle-shine projects! Please make sure to stop by and check out the process video for this layout because it includes the tutorial on using those gilding flakes!

LET’S CHECK OUT DAY TWO WITH CAITLYN!

****************************************************************

Caitlyn Storm CircleWhen I learned that the theme of this project would be sparkle, you bet I started to sparkle myself! I love anything to do with foil, glitter, and anything that sparkles! Paper House Productions has a ton of products with foil in it and with the help of Scrapbook Adhesives I was able to create the perfect sparkley project!

I decided to create a mixed media quote board!

mixed media quote board

I created this using the Color Washed Paper Pack and the black and gold foiled Carole Shiber washi !

mixed media quote board

The 3D Foam Creative Embellishment Kit made it so easy to create the beautiful wings and make sure they stayed upright! The foam is double sided so you’re able to apply the foam to one side and then stick things down and onto your project. This can be seen by the small circles I used to frame the quote – so easy! I used Scrapbook Adhesive’s EZ Dots Tape Runner to help glue the rest of the project together.

Paper House Productions & SpiegelMom Scraps Blog Hop & Giveaway – Day 4

PHP_spiegelmom-Co-Hop2018-banner (1)

Welcome to the Color Me Happy Blog Hop!  We’re pairing up with SpiegelMom Scraps all week long for some colorful projects showcasing out collections and their sequins!  We’ve got a great giveaway so be sure to stick around to the end of the post to get more details!

Daisie Hansen Circle

Hi everyone! I created this layout using the Marbleous paper pack and the coordinating card stock stickers. This collection is just gorgeous! The colors are stunning and the gold foiling really add the perfect touch!

I also used the stunning Make My Heart Sing sequin mix from SpiegelMom Scraps. They add just the perfect amount of sparkle and texture to the page!

Caitlyn Storm Circle

Anytime I get to create a project for my planner I get really excited. The products over at Spieglmom Scraps makes planner projects even easier to create! All you need is a vision and an idea to make it happen. A little help from some sequins doesn’t help, either!

Here are three super easy planner project DIY’s that you can make for your own planner!

spieglmom1

Project One: Planner Charm

spieglmom2

Planner charms are really fun to have! Not only are they decorative, but they allow you to have your personality and ideas shine! In order to put together a similar charm you’ll need a small glass bottle with a wide mouth.

Add some glitter, some Chocolate Cookies sequins, and a small element of your choice and you have the base to your charm! All you need to do to finish it off is add a chain and some additional elements you might want to include.

spieglmom3

To finish off my charm I added some ribbon and a key. You can easily add your own elements to create something all your own.

Project Two: Shaker Planner Clip

spieglmom6

The first time I ever made a shaker box was when I was 12. It was in a scrapbooking class with my mom. They were so fun to create (and still are!). I’m so happy that shakers have crossed over into the planner world as well! I knew that I needed to create a really cute shaker clip using the Easter Basket sequins.

spieglmom7

With the help of the Stargazer Faux Enamel stickers and both the Easter Basket and Morning Dew Drops sequins, I was able to create a beautiful clip!

Project Three: Planner Dashboard

spieglmom4

Dashboards can be utilized in multiple ways and adapted to different styles of planner. You can create them for regular spiral bound planners, for traveler’s notebooks, or any planner that you can think of! All you need is some plastic, some sequins, and something to seal your shaker.

When I saw the Mystical Mermaids Faux Enamel Stickers I knew I needed to include them in my dashboard! My original vision for this was a lot simpler, but they needed to be included! The Color Washed 12″ Paper Pad had some great quotes included in the pack! By utilizing some of the pre-made pieces that were the perfect size for a dashboard, I was able to layer everything together to put this together! To help bring my vision to life, I pulled some of the smaller blue and purple sequins from the Rainbow Bright sequin set and added in the rest of my Morning Dew Drops. Don’t they look like bubbles?

spieglmom5

The opposite side of the dashboard was an absolute no brainer! I didn’t add sequins to this side as I wanted the quote to be the highlight.

The washi edging made punching the holes for my planner a breeze. Plastic often breaks certain hole punches, so I always recommend adding a thinner layer such as washi to punch through. The Stargazer Washi Tape Set looked great with this dashboard, so that was an added bonus!

I hope you enjoyed these little projects I put together for you! See you all in my next post.

XOXO,
Caitlyn

Paper House Productions and SpiegelMom Scraps Blog Hop & Giveaway – Day 2

PHP_spiegelmom-Co-Hop2018-banner (1)

Welcome to the Color Me Happy Blog Hop!  We’re pairing up with SpiegelMom Scraps all week long for some colorful projects showcasing out collections and their sequins!  We’ve got a great giveaway so be sure to stick around to the end of the post to get more details!

Today we are showcasing Maria’s creations!

Maria Russell CircleHello my crafty friends.  I hope you are all having a great day!  I am super excited because this week, the Paper House Productions design team is teaming up with Spiegelmom Scraps.  We have received some colorful sequin mixes from Spiegelmom Scraps and I thought I would make two shaker cards, showcasing the sequin mixes and some beautiful faux Enamel and Puffy Stickers from the Paper House Productions.

For my first card, I used the Party Puffy stickers, the Puffy Numbered Candles stickers and the Rainbow Bright sequin mix, with some items that I already have from my collection.

PHPSMSCard1

For my second card, I wanted to create an underwater scene with the Mystical Mermaid Faux Enamel stickers and of course the colorful sequin mix from Spiegelmom Scraps.  If you watch my YouTube process video, you will be able to see how I created this scene.

PHPSMSCard2A

Please click on the link below to see my process video.  I hope you will also consider subscribing to my YouTube channel if you haven’t done so yet.  Which one is your favorite?   I hope you got inspired today.  I have listed and linked the supplies I used below.  Have a wonderful day!

Supplies:  Mystical Mermaids Faux Enamel Stickers with Foil Accents, StickyPix Numbered Candles Puffy Stickers, StickyPix Party Puffy stickers.

Katie King CircleHi everyone! I don’t know about you, but I love cute stationary! Anytime I am at the store, I can’t help but wander down the office supply section to see what is new. With that being said, cute stationary can be a bit pricey. This can especially be true if the stationary has some sort of ‘’cool element’’ to it, like it being holographic. So, to save you money on stationary, while also providing you a super easy way to make your own, I give you today’s DIY!

Today I am going to be showing you how to make your own Mini Shaker Notebooks! These mini shaker notebooks are a great way to dip your toe into the ”shaker card world” if you have been wanting to try something new. I opted to go the mini notebook route because 1) they looked so cute and 2) they were the perfect size for the motivation phrases in the Color Washed 12” Paper Pad. Besides the Color Washed Paper Pad, I also used a bunch of adorable sequins from SpiegelMom Scraps!

Now, when making your own mini shaker notebooks, I do recommend using SpiegelMom Scraps sequins. This is because the sequins are the right size for the mini notebooks and come with at least 3 different sequins ”types” in the pack. For example, in the pack ”Because You Love Me”, you get the colors antique gold, dark red, and copper metallic. Due to that, I was able to pick out more gold sequins for my mini ”make ideas happen” notebook and remove some of the red sequins.

This is just something you might want to keep in mind when making your own mini shaker notebooks.

Mini Shaker Notebooks Featuring Spieglemom Scraps

To create your own Mini Shaker Notebooks featuring SpiegleMom Scraps, you would do the following:

Step 1

Step 1: Take the cover all off of your mini notebook and set the pages/back cover to the side. Then grab your craft knife and cut out a small square in the middle of your front cover. Once the small square has been cut, glue a piece of paper from the Color Washed 12″ Paper Pad to the front cover. Finally, recut the small square and (using an awl) poke through the holes at the top of your mini notebook.

When you are done with this step, you should have something like the above photo.

Step 2

Step 2: Flip your font cover over, so you are viewing the back. Then cut a piece of a clear plastic sheet that is big enough to cover the square hole. Once your piece of clear plastic has been cut, apply double-sided tape around all four edges of the square and apply your clear plastic. Finally, grab your SpiegelMom Scraps sequins (I used Because You Love Me) and sprinkle a small amount in the center of your clear plastic sheet.

Note: You will only want to use a small amount of sequins in this project. If you add too many sequins, you will not get the cool shaker effect. Also, don’t worry how the back looks because we will be covering it up.

Step 3

Step 3: Cut out a phase from the Color Washed 12″ Paper Pad and another piece of scrapbooking paper that will fit your mini notebook. Then, using your favorite adhesive, glue down the phrase first, then add your final piece of scrapbooking paper.

When you have added your pieces of paper, poke through the holes at the top of your mini notebook.

Once your mini notebook cover has dried, reattach it to the rest of mini notebook and you are done!

Mini Shaker Notebooks Featuring Spieglemom Scraps 3

I love how each of these Mini Shaker Notebooks turned out! I think my favorite one would be the mini ”never give up” notebook.

Now, if you are loving the other two mini notebooks I made, you can easily make them as well! The only thing that is different about these two mini-notebooks is the SpiegelMom Scrap sequins. All the paper/motivational phrase came from the Color Washed 12″ Paper Pad and below is the specific sequins I used.

  • Mini ”life is what you make it” Notebook: SpiegelMom Scrap – Sprinkling Kindness
  • Mini ”never give up” Notebook: SpiegelMom Scrap – Peachy Keeny

Mini Shaker Notebooks Supply List: Color Washed 12″ Paper Pad, SpiegelMom Scraps – Sprinkling Kindness, SpiegelMom Scraps – Peachy Keeny, SpiegelMom Scraps -Because You Love Me

Hi everyone! Julie here with you today sharing what I created with some awesome Tombow Twintone dual-tip markers along with Paper House Productions ‘Wicked Good’ collection.

Since I was using a photo of my daughter’s Halloween costume from 2015, and it wasn’t your ‘typical’ Halloween colors, I grabbed the Paper House Productions acetate web paper from ‘Wicked Good,’ and then took four of the Tombow markers and colored in all the white areas of the acetate paper to match her costume!

First up we have Samantha with a Haunted House:

I combined Tombow markers and Paper House Wicked Spooky collection to create a spooktacular haunted house. Paper House papers lay the foundation for the house, while tracing the edges of the house, windows, and doors with different colored Tombow Twintone markers creates a finishing touch – instead of unfinished chipboard sticking out, all you see is bright Tombow color that coordinates perfectly with the colors in Wicked Spooky. Check out more details (like how I covered the rooftops with Paper House Halloween Washi Tape) on my blog.

This week we have teamed up with Xyron to feature family projects. The One Big Happy Family Collection has everything – stickers, transparencies, frames, cut aparts and themed pieces for every member of the family. I used the Xyron tape runner to stick all my papers together. Then I used the sticker maker to turn the floral circle paper on the top left corner into a sticker. Here are some images to show how easy and fun this is.
