Harry Potter Planner Pockets

Hey friends! Natalie here sharing a fun, Harry Potter themed project perfect for planners, journey books, scrapbook pages and more!

I decided to make my project to fit into my Mommy Lhey planner. I used a piece of Kraft paper as my base. I lined the edge with washi tape on both sides to enhance the strength.

Then, I marked dots in the line of the spirals and punched holes. I then sliced a slit from the edge into the punched hole.

I cut a couple patterned paper panels from the Harry Potter Icons Paper and trimmed them to fit atop the kraft base.

I embellished the panels a bit using some die cuts, stickers from my stash and the adorable Paper House Chibi Harry Potter stickers.

To the green deathly hallows panel, I added a wax seal (this was a souvenir from Harry Potter world in Orlando!), an owl feather, the word “Always,” and a cute outdoor sticker flake of a stag.

In order to create the pocket, I lined the edges of my decorated panel with strips of fun foam. I kept the edges meeting tightly so nothing would fall out of the cracks of the pocket.

I then stuck the foamed panel on the washi taped kraft base.

You can duplicate this project for any type of planner, no matter the binding. You can also leave out the washi strip and create the base and panel for a traveler’s notebook, bound journal or scrapbook page.

You can use the pockets to hold paper ephemera, supplies to use in your planner, hidden journaling or more.

I hope you’re inspired by my magical pockets to create your own! Any theme will work for this project.

Camping Nights in Pockets

Hi crafty friends! Natalie here with you on this last day of September sharing my favorite way to include numerous photos on a scrapbook page. I love to use pocket pages. They can house so many pictures without any hassle of figuring out how the layout will look.

I used the Camping Tags Double Sided paper as some of my pocket cards. I backed my smaller photos with papers from the travel paper collections.

Those adorable Great Outdoors Epoxy Stickers are the perfect tiny embellishment for a 3×4 pocket.

Using this Discover USA paper dictated the colors in my layout . I printed these 2×3 tiny photos 4 to a 4×6 photo collage & they work great for pocket pages.

My rules for pocket pages are typically to keep from putting two full 3×4 photos right next to one another, as well as break up the pattern paper with some solids.

I usually fit all of my journaling onto a specific journaling card, but sometimes I will add extra snippets with small photos on a tiny die cut tag.

Repeating this fun patterned Passport Stamps double sided page in another 3×4 pocket, along with the stripes of the same colors in the 4×6 pocket, helps tie in the rows.

I love how well these Great Outdoors Puffy Stickers are the best size for a 3×4 pocket!

I hope you’ve been inspired to create a pocket page – they’re such a great, easy, quick way to document some of your memories. I love to combine them with a 12×12 traditional layout!

You can find your own pocket page embellishments and cut apart sheets on the Paper House Productions website and use my code PH19NATALIE for 20% off your order!

The Explore the World Collection~

Hi, Connie here with a couple of scrapbooking pages showcasing the Explore the World  Collection by Paper House Productions.  I attached a fun Flip Album by Paper House Productions to accommodate many photos.
june1
I have some step out photos to walk you through how this scrapbook page was put together.  By adding the Flip Album, to the page, I was able to get thirteen photos on the page.  Kinda cool!!
june3
The Flip Album comes with a stand on the back, so the album can stand alone.  I took that off, of the album, and then added a 12 x 12 cardboard to the back of the page . Then  attached the stand to the back of the scrapbook page.  Two reasons, to make the page stand alone and to support the Flip Album.  Worked great!
june4
The front layers were created by tearing borders on several different papers in the Explore the World Collection.  Love the look!
june5
The Flip Album was attached with strong adhesive.  Tags, stickers and cardstock stickers were used to decorate the page and showcase the photos.  The tags were used as the journal spot for added details of the trip.
june6
This is the front page of the Flip Album which has pull outs, flip ups, flip outs and pockets.
june7
A sample of how the album works and has so many places for photos and memorabilia.
Each section is labeled with the destination and date.  I had some really fun photos left so I created a page of just them.  Kinda of like a selfie page~
june8
These are photos taken at different places in Washington DC.  I used the Explore the World Collection along with Around the World Puffy Stickers.
june9
The tag is created by using the Explore your World Tags page from the collection.
This is such a fun collection to create travel pages from.  It is full of great travel images, on the papers, that also can be trimmed out and used as embellishments on a scrapbook page.

She Is Our Wonder Woman~

Hi, Connie here with a scrapbook page using the Wonder Woman Collection by Paper House Productions.  I was really stumped on this paper choice, I was asked to create with, but then I remembered I had the perfect photo.  All you need is photo that shows strength and this one does!!!
may4wm
I used two different coordinating papers from the Wonder Woman Collection and layered them with one of the border papers, from the collection. The tag/ foil
paper made a cute cover for a private journal space.
may5wm
A white tag is attached to the tag/foil paper, from the Wonder Woman Collection and the story is written and then clipped to the tag. It can be easily removed, to read the story,  but still private.
may6wm
The Wonder Woman cardstock stickers make great embellishments, to enhance and showcase a special photo or space, on the scrapbook page.  I used them both ways on this page.  The date tag/white tag is stamped to document this amazing day!!!
may7wm
Bits and pieces, of stickers and paper, work great for a small embellishment cluster in a corner of the scrapbook page, you are creating.  This collection is great for that hero in your life.  It comes with many products that can be included on your scrapbook page or a journal page.

Valentine’s Mailbox Treat Holder with Color Washed 12×12 Paper Pad by PHP

Maria Russell CircleAre you looking for some last-minute gift ideas for Valentine’s Day?  Look no further.  Here’s an easy and fun Valentine’s Mailbox Treat Holder idea!   You can find these mailboxes at a craft store, or go to your local Target at the Dollar spot section.  I have altered my mailbox, using the beautiful Color Washed 12 x 12 Paper Pad by Paper House Productions.  You guys are all going to love this paper pad.  The pad comes with a sticker sheet that contains alphabet stickers, and other ephemeras.

I love making 3D projects for Valentine’s Day, especially making treat holders for my family and friends.  Valentine’s Day is always a special day at my house.  When my kids were a lot younger, I would surprise them by decorating the table with hearts, candles, confetti, and flowers!  I would also leave the little treat bags on top of their plates so that before they eat breakfast and go to school, they already have their treats with them.  It made their day.  It doesn’t matter how big or small the presents were but they were always happy to get a few treats to celebrate the day.  We also made treats for their friends!

Here are the photos of my finished project:

London-Calling Scrapbook Layout Destination Stickers by Maria

Maria Russell CircleHello my crafty friends!  Maria here with you today and I am back to share with you a scrapbook layout, showcasing the Discover London 3-D Sticker Pack and the London Calling 12″ Double-sided Scrapbook paper.  I love that there are endless possibilities to mix and match the coordinating travel sets, especially the Destination Stickers.  I really love the 3d stickers!

IMG_6677

I started out by printing my photos using my Canon Selphy photo printer.  I cut them to size for my layout.

I decided to use the London-Calling 12″ Double-sided scrapbook paper to match the Discover London 3D Sticker pack.  I cut a 6 x 12 black card stock to cover half of the scrapbook paper to have a plain base to showcase my photos and the sticker.

IMG_6678

I also used another black card stock to mat my Big Ben photograph and ground it a little so that it doesn’t look like it’s floating in the air.

IMG_6679

I used another red card stock to mat the photo of my daughter and I standing in Leicester  Square while it was snowing, and journaled a little of how the day was going, where we were, and the date.

Here’s a close-up with the amazing Destination 3D sticker, and that England heart flag is super cute!  I also love the gold foil details on the Discover London sticker.

I thought it’s also appropriate to include the “Cheers” and the Red Tour Bus, also included in the Discover London 3D Sticker pack.

PHPLondon2

My daughter and I are huge fans of Sherlock Holmes so naturally, we had to see where he lived and thought that the Police Cap and the Red Telephone Booth would be perfect to showcase this spot.

PHPLondon3

I wish I can share more photos and use more stickers but I guess I will have to share it on another post.  We have definitely enjoyed touring London and this London-Calling 12″ Double-sided scrapbook paper with the Discover London 3D Sticker pack are the perfect combination to decorate my layout.

Happy Mother’s Day!

Julie Tucker-Wolek Circle 2

Hi everyone! Julie with you here today sharing some little Mother’s Day gifts I made for some co-workers! I used the Be Happy collection, Family Planner Stickers and Butterfly project pad from Paper House Productions!

12Supplies Used: Be Happy collectionFamily Planner StickersButterfly project pad

I wanted to include some little candy bars in each little gift I made, but I didn’t have any bags, so I made some using some of the papers in the collection!  I cut papers in 4×4 inch squares and then sewed them together to make my ‘bags’!

17I then made some tags for the front of the ‘bags’ to wish each woman on my team a Happy Mother’s Day! After adding the candy bars to the bags, I tied a tag to the front of each bag! I hope my co-workers like them!

Old World Flipbook Album

Hi everyone, Melissa here with an Old World flipbook album by Paper House.  This was a lot of fun to do, it brought back the most wonderful memories of our trip of a lifetime. I  went to England along with several members of my family – It was wonderful seeing so many thrilling sites!

Supplies Used:

To make this album I started by painting on gauze and watercolor paper, then including them in the album with photos and stickers. These kinds of albums are one of my favorite off the page items to make. I love to embellish them with a variety of things: tags with ribbons through eyelets,  chipboard, metal pieces, and of course the photos.

Here are some of the mixed media items I added, they remind me of the ocean, which I thought fit well with a lot of the photos in the album:

I started with heavy gesso and then added gauze. Next up was more gesso, texture paste, micro beads, gesso, then watercolors. I used a heat gun before and after the paint layers.
