I created two cards, I really wanted to highlight the Project Pads:

PHP PAPER PAD PROJECT, Shannon M.

There are two different ways you can use the Frames Project Pad, there’s a RAISED frame or a RECESSED frame, I created one of each for you to see. The card below features the raised frame, and a kind and caring sentiment! Take a look at all of the colors and textures:

Here’s a close up so you can see the dimension of these cards, you can create a dimensional envelope or simply tuck inside a gift or basket!

National Scrapbook Day – Hour Eight – Giveaway

Hour Eight:¬†Happy National Scrapbook Day! ¬†Today we are celebrating all things Scrapbooking related! ¬†Each hour we will be sharing a new post with some inspiration combining Paper House products and our designer’s favorite techniques!

Of course we can’t have a celebration without a giveaway or two! ¬†Stay tuned at the end of the post to find out what we’re giving away! ¬†Now let’s hear from Shannon!

Shannon Circle2Hooray for layers! Wait, you don’t like layers? Or you like layers, but don’t know where to begin? Look no further. There are so many layering gurus in the world of paper crafting..and it can be really overwhelming to look at all of them and not feel like yours adds up. Guess what?!? Comparison is the thief of joy, so know that your layers rock too! Don’t be afraid to add layers to your layouts and cards. I’m going to show you how – but first let me share about myself!

What’s your favorite type of paper crafting? Layouts, but you wouldn’t know it, I’m pretty out of practice. I have spent the better part of two years creating tons of cards.
Where do you go for inspiration? I am a huge fan of color and music. I love moodboards, I check out Pinterest and Instagram just to look at things.
Where do you do your crafting? Currently, the kitchen table, the plus side: Great view of my magical backyard…the downside: it’s really cumbersome to pack everything up every day or make piles and put it aside. It’s ok, I know that my scrap space is in the works…well potentially. Ha!
What are your favorite crafting tools? Pens. Of all kinds. Also…I’d be lost without my stapler. It’s a sad, banged up stapler, but it’s super reliable and always comes through for me. ūüôā
What are your favorite Paper House products? That’s a tough one. There are so many great Paper House products. I can’t narrow it down much more than the paper kits (because duh, there’s paper, stickers and puffy stickers in most of them!)
What are your favorite colors to work with? Aqua, gray, white, green, red, pink (even though I don’t like to wear it) and oranges
How would you describe your crafting style? Messy, but organized. Eclectic and loud also seem to stick out in my mind also when I think of my crafting style.
Do you like it quiet while you work or do you have music or tv on? I detest having the tv on when I am creating. I feel like it causes an enormous block. I am a music person. To the core. Music can fix everything. Music can bring me to tears, I am very inspired by music of all kinds.
What’s your go to snack/drink while you craft? Um, coffee..coffee keeps me sane.¬†

I took a bunch of pictures showing you how I built the layers in my layout. I used the new Southwest Adventure Paper Crafting Kit for this layout featuring my daughter and her two dear friends:

PHP LAYERING by the NUMBERS, Shannon MYou’ll find it gets easier and easier to build layers as you grow comfortable with them, or create your own “formula”.

Here’s a look at the finished layout. You’ll see that it’s a simple layout in design, I am a simple scrapper by nature, but I like to add a lot of details.

Life Organized with PHP Planners!

Shannon Circle2Good morning on this beautiful Good Friday! ¬†I am sharing another planner post with you.¬†‚̧

I used some new PHP products to create this spread! I’ve been working through Lent and this awesome planner has helped me start organized (well, duh Shannon that’s what planners are for) and inspiring me to work in it because there are so many options available from Paper House Productions that make this possible!

PHP PLANNER POST 4_17, SCM

Paper House products used: Anchors Away Planner, Nautical Planner Stickers, Nautical Labels, Live Bold Planner Stickers, Travel Planner Stickers and Beach Clear Stickers.

Here’s a look at each page, left to right. I love all of the space available to write what I wish. It’s just another great feature of the planner!

*{You’ll flip over PHP’s Nautical Flip Album!}*

shannonHi! Hope this post finds you well, Shannon here sharing a *{FLIP ALBUM}* post with you…specifically the Nautical Flip Album! Guys, sometimes less is more, and perfectly elegant…this is incredibly hard for me to admit because I am a fill the page scrapper! These Flip Albums are wonderful. You don’t need to gunk them up with a bunch of embellishments! They are stand alone awesome!

I used the Nautical Flip Album to document my kids sacraments, they made their 1st Communion later than most and Paddy made his Confirmation a mere month later. I didn’t have my camera, because I was helping with the mass, so my pictures of the day are scarce. That being said, it doesn’t matter much because the pictures I do have are perfect for the event.

Paper House Products used: Nautical Flip Album

PHP FLIP ALBUM 4.2017, Shannon M.

I love the gold photo corners and clear stickers that came with the flip album. They worked perfectly. I only have a few directional pointers and a sentiment left. I used pretty much every sticker on the sheet provided!

PHP Flip Album 4.2017, 2 Shannon M.

There’s plenty of room for adding notes or journaling, the ink dries so nicely on the paper!

Paddy is pictured here with his Great Uncle Pete who is his Confirmation sponsor, look at how the picture and clear stickers perfectly pop on the red background!

The hidden flaps in the album are my favorite, just when you think you’ve come to the end of the album, there’s another layer.

You’ll notice my pages aren’t quite typical of planners, but that’s because I am using my planner in a different way. My planner is going to be used as a faith planner. I was so excited to see the {Anchors Away} Planner in the new releases, I¬†love anchors and what they symbolize. I was even more excited when I learned that I would be able to work with this particular planner.
