I Love You Baby Layout & Video Tutorial

my-bio-pic

Hello friends! Katty here to share another 12×12 layout with you all. Today, I am working with the adorable Hello Baby Papercrafting Kit, the Boy version. There is also an adorable Girl version of this Kit. This collection is perfect for documenting little ones. I am scrapping a photo of my youngest son Ryan, this was taken at the hospital right after he was born. He is crying his little eyes out and he just looks so cute. I decided to print the photo in black and white.

I Love You Baby Layout Supply List:

I began by cutting down one of the 12×12 patterned papers, the one with the colorful stripes, into rectangles, the same size as my photo. I created a grid down the center of the page. I used another patterned paper with colorful polka dots on it as my background. I cut out some images from the cut apart sheets and used them as a mat behind my photo.

I used the sticker sheet quite a bit. I used the 12×12 borders and cut them down to fit over three of my grid pieces. I also added some of the phrase stickers. I fussy cut the “Baby” banner  from one of the patterned papers and that became part of my tittle.

I scattered around the sticker stars as well as some of the puffy stickers. I finished off the layout by cutting two strips of the orange patterned paper with the yellow circles on it and added a strip to each side of the layout.

I also punched out some of those circles and clustered them on the left hand side of my photo as well as added them to the ends of my banner tittle.

Paradise Found Layout & Video Tutorial

my-bio-picHello friends! Katty here. I am back today working with the beautiful Paradise Found Cruise Paper Crafting Kit. I love that there are several versions of the Paradise found Collection. I chose to work with the Cruise Version. I love the fun, tropical feel of this collection. Just looking through the papers and embellishments makes me wish I were sitting on a beach,  with a fruity drink in my hand, soaking up the sun.Nevertheless, I will settle for using this beautiful kit to document previous tropical memories.

Today I am scrapbooking a photo on my two boys and myself relaxing on a hammock on the Disney Cruise Private Island, Castaway Cay. This was our very first cruise and we had a fantastic time.

I immediately knew I wanted to incorporate the beautiful blues and pinks from this collection. I also knew I wanted to use the beautiful gold foil acetate sheet that coordinates with this collection. I decided  to cut out some of the sea stars in several different sizes from the acetate sheet. I also traced the stars on white cardstock and used my Shimmerz Paints to color them in coordinating colors. I used these as flowers. I scattered those around the page as well.a-fullsizerender

For my background, I chose to use one of the sheets of patterned paper which reminded me of sand and has a faint white script on it.

I created several layers behind my photo using the cut apart sheets. I even used one of the larger stickers in my layers. I love this mix of colors. One of the cards had a large oval in the center. I cut out the oval center and used that card over my photo.

I decided to place my photo on the top left and I created a cluster on the bottom right. I used one of the cut apart cards which has a sentiment that I love.

I added some of the adorable puffy stickers from the collection. I also used the 3D stickers from the Island Life and The Beach sticker sets. I love the texture and dimention that these stickers add to the layout.

One Big Happy Family Layout & Video Tutorial

Hello friends! Katty here. I hope you are all having a great week.  I am beyond excited to be sharing my first Paper House project with you all. Today I am sharing a 12×12 Layout I created using the “One Big Happy Family Collection.” What I love most about this collection is how diverse it is. You can create very masculine layouts or very feminine layouts, as I’ve created today. It is the perfect collection for documenting special family moments. I am scrapbooking a photo of me and my adorable niece.  My layout was inspired by a beautiful floral card included in the Grandparents Tag Cut apart sheet .

One Big Happy Family Layout Supply List:

Two of my favorite things to incorporate into my layouts are cut files and mixed media. I used both on this layout. I started off with a white piece of cardstock. I cut a floral wreath cut file which I colored in a light mint green color to match the beautiful feather patterned paper that I used as a partial frame behind my layout. The cut file also resembled the flowers in the card which inspired my layout.

I decided to use half of the cut file and use some of my Shimmerz Paints watercolors to complete the wreath. I used shades of orange, pink and coral to match the collection. I also added some splatters.

One of the cut aparts had the word Love repeated three times in a faux cross stitch. I decided to hand stitch over it in coordinating colors using embroidery floss. I love the texture that this added to my layout.

I layered a few of the patterned papers and cut aparts behind my photo. I used one of the cut aparts which had some florals along the bottom and carefully fussy cut around the flowers to create a frame for my photo  to sit in.

I also created a cluster at the bottom right hand side of my layout. I added a few images I fussy cut from the patterned papers as well as some of the stickers from the collection kit.

I have a video tutorial showing how I created this layout if you’d like to watch.
