Shine like the stars~

Hi, Connie here with my first project for Paper House Productions.   I had the opportunity to create with the Stargazer Collection.   I had some perfect pictures that would showcase this paper collection well.  The pictures are from a night under the stars and constructing smore’s.  Yum!!!!!

The center photos are grouped together, showing our evening under the stars.  The film strip, on the side of the grouping of photos, was created using the die cuts from the Stargazer Collection along with a film strip stamp.

The cluster, at the top, was fun to create.   It consists of washi tape, cardstock stickers and the film strip border.  Star enamel stickers were added to bring it all together.   I used the area between the top cluster and the bottom border as my journal spot.  The words were typed  in Word, printed out on white cardstock and cut in strips.  A favorite thing I like to do, using this type of  journaling,  when adhering the strips down to the scrapbook page, adhere every other strip with foam squares.  I love the dimension it gives the text.

The pattern borders come in the Stargazer Collection.  Makes it so easy to add contrasting colors, that work perfect, to your project.  All the work is done for you.  Everything in this collection works together.  Hope you check out this amazing Stargazer Collection!!

Shine Bright Gift Set

Hello! This is Sukie and today I have another project to share with the Paper House Productions Stargazer collection. This collection is full of gorgeous papers, cheerful colors and uplifting quotes. I especially love that these papers really shine which inspired me to create a gift set perfect for any celebration.

The dimensional shakers were embellished with the cute star stickers from the Stargazer collection. The “shine bright” quote is from the cut apart sheet from the same collection. It was adhered to the background as the focal point of my card. The foiled accents are so elegant.

I die cut the “congrats” sentiment and layered it on top of the oversized tag. The card and tag were finished off with a generous sprinkling of gold sequins. It was so fun to create a coordinating card to go along with the decorated gift bag.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great day!

Shine Like the Stars

Happy Monday! Have you tried memory keeping using a smaller format? I’ve been a traditional 12 x 12 scrapper for years but as I started seeing some of the smaller format notebooks I became interested in trying them out. The Journey notebooks are spectacular for this purpose! I love the amazing array of inserts and covers to chose from, it’s hard to pick just one! Today I am using our Color Washed Journey book insert and the Stargazer collection of stickers, paper and washi tape on my project.

Supplies Used: Color washed Journey notebook insert; Stargazer Night Sky & Galaxy Foil Paper; Stargazer Shine Bright & Dream Big cardstock Stickers; Stargazer washi tape set; Celestial & Stargazer Faux enamel stickers.

I had 3 photos I wanted to use on this layout chosen because my friend, her daughter, her daughter’s friend and myself participated in a 5K walk last month and the girls’ shirts perfectly matched the Stargazer collection! I loved all of the Stargazer stickers so much I wanted to use the second page as just a fun mix of stickers and my title so I ended up making a fold out flap to “hide” and “house” my other 2 photos. Here is a close up of this:

I took a 6.25 inch x 2.5 inch piece of Stargazer Galaxy Foil paper and folded it in half so that I could mount two pictures inside and one picture on the front. I added some of the narrow washi tape to the inside edges to jazz it up and then added a faux enamel sticker to the top right corner of the third picture. I used one of the faux enamel stickers from the Stargazer collection as my little “handle” so I can open and close the flap. I backed that sticker where it was still showing with white cardstock so it wouldn’t be sticky and stick to my project! Here is a close up of my “handle”:

I hope this inspires you to try memory keeping on a smaller format! I know once you try it you will love it as much as I do! Happy creating!

Dream Big Layout

Hello! Today I’m sharing a project created with the new Stargazer collection.  This collection of papers, stickers and washi tape is simply magical. The gold foiling brings a feeling of elegance to the papers.  I was inspired to create a graduation layout page for my daughter.  She is graduating with her Master’s Degree next month and the papers complimented her confetti picture perfectly.

I began building my layout by cutting the large, galaxy circle and adding it to some basic white card stock. I splattered some paint on the white card stock to add a bit of character to the background. I used black, purple and gold paint to create the paint splatters.

I inked up a sheet of paper with some black, purple and blue Oxide Inks, splattered it with some water and white paint. I used this sheet to cut out the extra stars on my layout page. This was a fun way to create some extra embellishments which coordinate with my layout, however don’t blend in. The extra stars were die cut and layered on some gold papers.

The coordinating stickers to the Stargazer collection made it easy to add all of the inspirational phrases on my layout page. I simply mounted the stickers on foam for added dimension. The diamond and smaller stars are also from the same sticker pack.

A bit of coordinating paper was added to the corner of my layout page to frame the “Dream Big” title of my layout page. I sprinkled in a few bling stickers from stash for a finishing accent.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!

Happy National Beer Day!

Hi all! Erika here. And I LOVE the scrapbooking community. They are inclusive, so incredibly talented, and endlessly supportive. And that is something that a newbie like me truly appreciates. On top of that, there are tons of wonderful collections by amazing designers. You can find paper and embellishments for nearly every interest. Nearly. This is where Paper House Productions comes in to save the day with their adorable Beer 3D Sticker Embellishments. Seriously, how cute are they?!

A couple of years ago, we flew to New England for a massively fun, jam-packed road trip. In the midst of it all, we stopped at Schilling Beer Company in Littleton, New Hampshire, for food and, ahem, liquid fuel. Now, my favorite thing is when restaurants offer a sampler, or a flight. I love trying a little bit of everything! So imagine my delight when they offered a MEGA flight of their own brewed beer!

In honor of National Beer Day, I knew I had to document this photo! I grabbed some leftover scraps and cut them into strips. I wanted to add some texture but also save time, since I currently have a 16 month old, three dogs, a bunny, and a small-scale backyard homestead. So I chose to sew a straight stitch down half of my strips as a compromise using gray thread.

From there, I wanted to make a sunburst out of the strips. And, since the layout is about our east coast trip, I adhered them down on the right side of the page, mimicking the sunrise coming from the east. For contrast, I added a black and white scalloped edge cutting out a repeated outline of the bottom of my glue bottle (resourcefulness for the win!). I wanted a tongue-in-cheek title, so I went with “Let’s See if Beer on the East Coast Tastes the Same.”

Now with my sunburst on the right, and a lot of alphas on the left, I had little room to work in some desperately needed spice to my layout. Thankfully, the beer stickers were the perfect touch! And the detail on them is fantastic. The foamy beer mug was so lifelike! Be sure to check out the store and get some of your own!
