I’m so excited to be back with another fun project including some stitching as well as the amazing and fun dimensional Destinations stickers. I really struggle sometimes with creating the perfect title page for a travel album and these stickers really jump-started my creativity.
For this project, I printed an online image of the outline of the United States and used it as a pattern to create a hand-stitched version of the map on the top portion of my layout. I knew that the smaller detailed stickers in the Travel-Washington D.C. Destinations pack as well as the Travel- Let Freedom Ring Destinations pack would work as great city markers to indicate where our trip started and stopped on the map. It was easy to create a curved flight path with more embroidery floss between the two icons.
I cut my photo to a 4×4 size and used more of the Destinations stickers from both packs to create some border details around the top and bottom edges. I then added some patterned paper banners and a few arrows as well as the eagle insignia to those banners. A few lines of journaling and a little washi tape border and this title page was complete!
I really hope that you will also join me over on my You Tube channel where I talk a little bit more about my product choices and how I created this look.
