Key West Summer Memories Scrapbook Layout

KattyCircle2Hello friends! Katty here to share one of my favorite Summer memories with you all. The photo I am scrapping today was taken in Key West, Key West is about 3 hours South of us, we drove down on a Sunday and spent the day, we ended our visit with a Sunset Boat Tour. It was very relaxing and romantic. I wanted papers that would really help capture that evening, the Color Washed paper pad was just perfect for a Key West Scrapbook Layout.

I chose this amazing patterned paper with the gold foiled triangles. It is stunning and was perfect for this layout. I began by layering some of the cut aparts from the Color Washed Paper Pad along with some of the Blue Waves Stick on Pockets behing my photo. I used a little bit of foam to raise some of the layers.

I used some of the stickers from the sticker sheet that comes included in the paper pad. I layered a few underneath the photo as well as in my tittle behind the word “adventures.” The tittle was created with a puffy sticker from the Outdoors puffy stickers as well as some alphas from the Beach Cardstock stickers. I scattered around a few other puffy stickers to finish it off.

I love how it turned out. Thanks so much for stopping by! XOXO -Katty

How to Mix Embellishments to Create Texture

Hello! Samantha with you today to share a layout using embellishments from my favorite new planner collection, Great Outdoors. Mixing embellishments to create texture is a fun way to add interest to any layout.

These new Stick On Pockets are one of my favorite ways to add texture to layouts. They’re a bit plastic-y (so they’re strong) which also gives them a bit of a vellum look. For and even more interesting look, I layered up 2 pockets on top of each other.

The grouping pictured above mixes patterns already printed on the patterned paper, rice paper border stickers, planner card stock stickers, and epoxy stickers to create a cluster of embellishments that’s visually interesting and draws you into the layout.

Carrying a mix of embellishments (epoxy, card stock, puffy, etc.) throughout the layout helps keep the layout looking cohesive. With all the choices in Paper House’s new Great Outdoors collection, you’ll have plenty of options to choose from! How do you mix embellishments to create texture on your layouts?

Great Outdoors and Lake Life Scrapbook Layout

CarolynCircle2Carolyn back again to show you how I used the Life Organized Planner Products on a scrapbooking layout. Our family visited Wisconsin Dells last year and these pictures show a stop along the boat tour. The Great Outdoors products were perfect to highlight the ruggedness of my pictures and the Lake Life collection provided papers that worked well as my base.

I used washi tape to separate the top and bottom half of the layout. The trees in this photo are flake stickers and epoxy stickers.

Here is a close-up of the puffy clip tree. I attached it to a stick-on pocket. The leaves are flake stickers and the remaining stickers are a mix of epoxy and puffy. I cut the title from paper in the Lake Life collection using my Silhouette Cameo.

Here is one last close-up of the other stick-on pocket and puffy clip. The multicolored arrows are rice paper stickers that helped me to cover a sentiment that didn’t go with my theme.

Thanks for stopping by! I just love how well these two collections work together and hope you will give it a try!

Summer Memories Scrapbook Layout

Shannon Circle2As a FALL & WINTER enthusiast…let me just say..hooray for summer’s end. I look forward to the end of summer every, single, year. That doesn’t mean I loathe summer, ok it does, but I grow  more gleeful as summer closes. I still document summer…because some of the best people I know have birthdays in the summer.

Little Leo loves his cousin Mack, but even more than that….water. I had to scrap these pictures right away, they can’t help but make you smile. I will carry these memories of silly, sweet Leo and my beautiful Mackenzie’s simple joy and love.

Scrapbook Layout using Great Outdoors Planner Products

Bubble Layout with Color Washed Paper

Carolyn here today to show you the new Color Washed Paper Pad! The watercolor backgrounds are so beautiful and bright. I can see this becoming a go-to paper pad in my collection.

Supplies for Bubble Layout: Color Washed 12″ Paper Pad, Butterfly Project Pad, Marbelous 12″ Paper Pad.

I began with these bubble pictures and liked how the gold foil on the paper looks like bubbles. I found a cut file that looked “bubbly” and cut it from more gold color washed paper using my Silhouette Cameo. I backed the bubbles using cut apart cards from the paper pad.

I fussy cut the multicolored butterflies and the “wild and free” circle. The title, flags and arrows are all stickers that come with the paper pad. You can see a little bit of the purple Marbelous paper peeking out in this close-up.

I added a couple more butterflies from the Butterfly Project Pad to balance the page. I love how the Project Pad coordinated with the Paper Pad and the butterflies just pop right out. No need to use a cutting machine or fussy cut.

Thanks for looking at my layout today! Enjoy the last little bit of our summer bubble blowing weather.
