Project Pad Calendar

CarolynCircle2

Hello! Carolyn back today and I am super excited to show you the calendar I made with the Punch Out Project Pads. My daughter has become quite interested in dance this year and is always making little calendars to keep track of her practice. When I saw this white board I knew she would love it and I would have fun decorating it!

Project Pad Calendar Supply List: Frames Project Pad, Hearts Project Pad, and Butterflies Project Pad.

I began by choosing the colors I wanted and then punching out a whole bunch of butterflies and hearts. I played with them until I figured out a layering pattern that I liked and glued a bunch together. I adhered them to magnetic strips so that my daughter can move them anywhere she would like on the board.

I went through the frame pad and punched out all the cards with words on them that I felt fit my theme of dance and practice. I punched out corresponding frames (which have the folds already scored) and glued everything together. I also put magnetic strips on the back of the frames.

These box frames I stuffed with tissue so they would be sturdier when pulled off the board. I had lots of fun layering hearts to make flowers and decorate the boxes.

The project pads make a craft like this so easy! They are packed with a variety of shapes and colors that all coordinate. This would be an easy craft with kids and my daughter is excited to make more accessories for her board with me.

Tween Girl Room Decor with Butterfly Project Pad

Christine Circle 2

Hi there Paper House Fans!  Christine joining you today with a budget friendly decor idea for a tween girls room!  We moved  into a new house and I have been slowly adding to the decor of my kids rooms.  Join me as I show you an easy tween girl project!

My daughter just turned 10 and she’s somewhere between wanting little girl decor and grown up decor.  Paper House Butterfly Project Pad to the rescue!  I pulled out this little budget friendly pad and started popping out the butterflies.

The frames surrounding the butterflies were just some plain wood ones that I picked up at a big box store and spray painted black.  I then hung them at angles and started filling them with butterflies.  I attached the butterflies with just a little dab of the gummy tack stuff on the market.

TweenGirlsCU1

The butterflies come in all kinds of patterns, sizes, colors, and even gold foiling.  I used about 6 sheets total and barely made a dent in the pad.  That means I have plenty left over to make other fun projects!  Sometimes with projects like this, it’s easier to check it out in a video – so I made quick little one for you!

Now quick – run and grab that fabulous Butterflies Project Pad!

Inside Design Scoop: The Southwest Adventure Collection

Sean McManus has been a graphic designer at Paper House for almost 5 years. He went to school in Rochester before joining the company in the beautiful Hudson Valley. When it came time for his latest collection, he drew inspiration from the iconography and imagery of the Southwest. Sean has always had a love for the natural tones of the sprawling desert and the way they contrast with the vivid blues of the sky and the turquoises of Native American art and patterns.

As every artist and designer knows, there’s always a little more to the creation process than first meets the eye. Sean explains how the Southwest Adventure Collection came to life.

How did you come up with the concept for the Southwest Adventure Collection?

It was something I had wanted to do for a while. I was inspired by the area and wanted to create a really epic feel with saturated colors and an inspirational aspect. I was particularly influenced by Native American patterns and the natural beauty of the Southwest.

I’ve always had a love for the scenery of the region. Traditional Hopi and Navajo patterns and art from the area made a big impact on the final look of the collection.

Sean’s inspiration for the Southwest Collection

Does this build on a past Paper House product? Were you influenced by an outside design or artist?

We’ve had a few Grand Canyon and National Park items in the past, but this is a new product for Paper House.

What was the process like to go from an idea to the final product?

I built an inspiration folder and included patterns and photos that I liked. I looked at what other people were doing with Southwest scrapbooking supplies and knew I wanted to go in a different direction.

We have a great team here that really knows their stuff, and with everyone’s input, we made something that really clicked in the end.

What’s it like to see something you created being used by others for their projects?

It’s always really satisfying to see your product out in the world; to go from something you’ve made digitally to seeing it exist as a physical thing. I was really happy with this one. It felt very accurate to my vision and captured the richness of the Southwest.

I’ve seen a lot of creative and beautiful uses of the products, especially from our design team. One of my favorites is a photo album using the collection that has a really unique and innovative construction.

A look inside the Southwest Collection

What’s next for the Southwest Adventure Collection?

We may have a planner for the collection in the future, and hopefully there will be more stickers down the road. This is one of my favorite products I’ve done, and I’d really like to see the collection fleshed out more.

Are you inspired? You can find the Southwest Collection here.

Project Pad Camping Decor

Hello! Samantha with you today to share a little inspiration using one of Paper House’s Punch Out Project Pads. These fun pads a full of hearts, feathers, butterflies, or frames in a variety of patterns and sizes that you just punch out and use. So simple and fun! My piece today is a little Project Pad camping decor.

Supplies: DIY Punch Out Frames Project Pad, Relax Sculpted Sticker

My favorite thing about these little punch out frames is how easy it is to create seasonal decor with them. They go together really quickly and are super easy to group together since the colors and patterns coordinate with each other.

There are 2 types of frames in the Project Pad; raised frames and recessed frames. I used a flat die cut of a camper (we love camping with our camper during the summer!) in the recessed frame and some sculpted stickers on the raised frame. The raised texture of the sculpted stickers allowed me to keep my frames clean and simple, but still add a lot of interest by adding texture to the frames.

The frames in the project pad are a great size for grouping together as part of a design element in your home decor. They’re light weight enough that they can stand on their own, or be attached to the wall with a temporary scrapbook adhesive or poster adhesive. So many fun possibilities!

The fun doesn’t stop with the Frames Project Pad. There are 3 more Punch Out Project Pads, and they are all so much fun! In fact, I couldn’t decide on just one project to make for today, so I have a bonus Project Pad project over on my blog today. Head on over there to see how I used the Hearts Project Pad to create this layout.

Home Decor With Project Pads

Sara Circle 2

Hello Hello! I hope you are all surviving your Monday! To help ward off the blahs, I have a home decor piece to share with you I created using t Project Pads and Clear Cuts Stickers!

Supplies Used– Hearts Project PadButterflies Project Pad , Bohemian- Friends Clear Stickers

IMG_0065

With so many colors in the project pads, it made it very easy to find colors to coordinate with my decor. My dining room is designed around one of Monet’s Water Lilies painting and, yep, its painted purple….which makes this frame a wonderful addition to the room, and I have the perfect spot to hang it! I also loved adding the clear stickers for tails for some of my butterflies, gold accents, and some pops of teal (also in my dining room!)

IMG_0068

Thank you so much for joining me today! And be sure to get one (or two) of these project pads…I promise you will find lots of uses for them!

Have A Lovely Day!
