Here’s a look at my completed card. I once again used the Southwest Adventure paper crafting kit to create my card. All of the papers with the exception of the Kraft & peacock cardstock are from the collection. I love that the papers are double-sided and all coordinate perfectly! Takes the guess work out of it.

Hello Baby Boy and Girl Cards

photo-of-carolyn

Carolyn back today with two baby cards. I’m so lucky to have a new boy and girl join the extended family last month. Of course I needed to make cards with the Hello Baby collections. The cards are 6″ x 6″ which I found easy to work with since I almost always make 12″ x 12″ layouts.

Hello Baby Boy and Girl Cards Supply List

Kohlt Card 1

For the boy card, I cut out a rattle handle using my Silhouette Cameo. I made a circle in the grid paper and put a cut apart card behind it. I spelled the baby’s name with the cardstock stickers. Then I fused a plastic pouch of sequins and slid it behind the open circle. Some flags and  embroidery thread finished it off.

Kohlt Card 2

Here is the inside of the card. I like opening a card and seeing something beyond the writing so I cut several circles from the paper in the kit and added a sticker.

Liv Card 1

Here is the girl card. I used my Silhouette to cut the star out of the stripped paper and slid a plastic shaker of star sequins behind it. I wanted it to pop off the page more so I outlined it in black. I cut the words out of a cut apart card in the kit and used puffy and cardstock stickers to embellish.

Liv Card 2

I continued the sentiment from the front of the card on the inside. And I made use of that star I cut out! A few more stickers and it is done.

Thanks for checking out this post and have a great day!

April Planner Decorating

my-bio-picHello friends, Katty here to share my April monthly spread in my Everyday Moments Planner. I tend to work better with the monthly view. I like to see my month planned out in front of me. I am using this planner to organize my crafty commitments. This is why it is blank. As my commitments are scheduled I will fill them in. I love my Everyday Moments Planner. I am in love with colors and the divider images. For April I decided to add a floral spring theme.

April Planner Decorating Supply List:

I looked through my beautiful Paperhouse collections and decided to add some elements from the One Big Happy Family Papercrafting Kit. There is a beautiful floral patterned paper which was perfect to add to my spread.

IMG_1606

I began with one of the floral patterned papers from the kit. I fussy cut the white flowers and some of the leaves. I decided to add three clusters of flowers on my spread. I wanted to bring in some of the colors from the beautiful banner at the top of the page so I pulled out my gelatos and used my finger to smudge some color behind the areas where my flowers will go. I used pinks and purples. I just wanted the color to peek out from behind the floral clusters. I love how that turned out. I also added in some of the adorable feather 2″ stickers coming out from behind the floral clusters. The feathers added additional color and a whimsical look.

The planner itself brings three sticker sheets. I used the month sticker up top. I also used a gold foil sticker at the bottom of the right hand side along with two hearts.

FullSizeRender 8

I cut a few squares in the patterned papers from the One Big happy Family collection and added them to random days of the month. I also added the 2″ Floral Heart stickers over a few of the patterned papers. I love how it turned out. Once I add in all of my commitments it will look super busy but for now I am enjoying the simple beauty of it.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! XOXO -Katty

One Big Happy Family Layout Inspiration

Hi everyone. It’s Bev here today and I am super excited to share with you some fabulous layout pages using One Big Happy Family Paper Crafting Kit from Paper House. I am sharing family pages today but be sure to check out the store for all the other themed collections that are available…. not only papers but the perfect accents too.
 Supply List
Instructions:
When I start a page I usually have photo(s), papers and some accents pulled and placed to start the  page. From there I make adjustments. On this page I thought the bold bright background could use some texturing using modeling paste and a stencil.

Here is the photo of the page starting again from the bottom with stenciled texture, some paper strips and the fab fun clustered corner.
I then go from the bottom and start gluing down the amazing mix of print papers into the layers. I stuck a chipboard accent in between too.

Here is the close up of clustered corner with a great chipboard , print paper and word strips from the collection.

In this section I want to draw your attentions to the cute banner but also the start to my floral clustter of stickers and how to make them 3D. Here I started with just a single sticker flat to surface.

Next I added a foam dots to the floral cluster sticker and placed it above the first one.

So be sure to use those stickers that match to make your own cluster with 3D affect. It looks great.

For your viewing I am sharing a few more layouts using the same amazing One Big Happy Family kit  to give you some inspirations to create with this kit.
Each page is so different taking on it’s own distinct design with mix of colors and accents.

These next 2 went to a lighter coloring… this first one with a paint and sequin background.

This last one used a fun lighter background and then some chevron type cut papers off  to the right side.

Thanks for joining me today…………. hope to see you again soon.

One Big Scrappy Family Layout

TinaGale Husong
Hello again! TinaGale here and today I’m sharing a layout I created with the fabulous One Big Happy Family collection. I love all of the colors in this collection and there’s so many different ways you can take it. I chose to document a weekend away with my scrappy family.

Supply List: One Big Happy Family CollectionOne Big Happy Family AcetateSticky Pix Cardstock Multi Pack stickers

Here’s a look at my process

Each collection has lots of extra goodies to coordinate and I couldn’t wait to use some of them. The printed acetate is one of my favorites. I used it as a large mat behind my photos to try and really show it off while keeping my photos the center of interest.

Don’t overlook the paper itself for creating your own embellishments. Originally I thought I was going to use the frame paper as my background but I fell in love with the chevron. So what’s a girl to do? Why cut up all the frames and words from the paper and adhere them to my chevron background.

I pop dotted some of the frames to create more dimension to the layout. From the sticker pack I found little bits and pieces to fill inside some of the frames. Since this was documenting a fun weekend creating with friends I wanted to create lots of little masterpieces all over my background.

I hope you enjoyed a look at my process and a look at the One Big Happy Family collection for something other than your traditional family.

Instax Paradise Found Mini Album

Hello! Samantha here with you today to share one of my favorite things to create : Mini albums! Today I have an album I created with photos of a trip my husband and I took together. I decided to create an Instax album with paper and embellishments from the Paradise Found Collection.

Supplies:

I started with a leather Instax album. It’s like a mini version of a regular scrapbook album with page protector inserts and everything. Instax photos print out at about 2″ x 3 1/4″, so even if you don’t have an Instax camera or Instax Photo Printer, you can still print out photos at this size.

Small photo albums this size are perfect for using lots of stickers as embellishments. Since we spent most of our time relaxing in the same place, there wasn’t a lot of journaling needed. Stickers are the perfect way to brighten up the album and add extra color to the story.

When I do need to add journaling to tiny pages, I like to take journaling tags from Paradise Found, and just trim them down. You can see in the photo above how I took a 4×6 journaling tag, cut it down to 2 x 3 1/4″, and journaled on a partial journaling tag instead.

Flat cardstock stickers (like the hello sunshine sticker above) can be added directly to a photo and slipped inside the page protector. 3D stickers (like the coastal life sticker above) are added to the outside of the page protector instead.

I also layered up some Paradise found papers and stickers to created interesting pages and custom journaling tags for my album.

Don’t forget to customize the inside and outside of your covers with paper and stickers, too! Have you ever made an Instax album?

Everyday Moments Planner

renee-timmerman

Hi! Renee here to show you how I utilized the new Paper House Productions Planner: Everyday Moments. I think like everyone is jumping on the new planner craze and I’m so excited about it! Maybe because I’m obsessed with everything planner related. I admit though- sometimes I’m horrible at actually USING it. So I’m giving a new try with this planner!

Planner2

I decided to start with the month of April! What’s great about these planners are they have no start month, so you can literally decide where you want to begin. Each planner come with 3 sticker sheets that are already attached inside the beginning of your planner that coordinate with the planner. The first sheet comes with month labels you can use for the designated month.  So I peeled the month of April off which goes perfectly with the colors already on the monthly spread.

For special days, I wanted to include a picture of them instead of words just to add a different touch to the planner. So I printed off a picture of my niece who’s birthday is on the 9th and my cat ( yes, don’t judge me) on the 19th. The 2×2 size fits  almost perfectly in to the spots.  The other sticker sheets included also have little stickers for birthdays, doctor appointments and other events so I included the little birthday cake on each of their pictures.

planner1

I kind of skipped the first week spread because it’s honestly- well not exciting. So I decorated the next one because it included Addison’s birthday!  Again, the pages are blank so you’re able to label however you want- which is great! I decided this week just to use my own penmanship/calligraphy skills to make giant numbers for the dates. Addison’s  birthday I included some fun stickers- also on the sticker sheets from the planner. I loved the aqua color so all the aqua stickers just spilled on to the date.

Each date I also just placed a line to separate the boxes so I could keep my work out written down. I always like looking back and seeing how I progressed with my work outs as well as keep tabs on how many miles I’ve ran.

I hope you enjoyed my look at the planner! I’m excited to keep documenting during the month’s and showing you how I utilize this planner! I also can’t wait to see how you use your planner!! As always, if you want to learn more about Renee, check out my personal blog for more posts of my work!
